Overhill Farms is a leading custom manufacturer of high quality prepared frozen foods, serving customers in the branded retail, private label and foodservice sectors. We provide a one-stop solution that offers new product development or precise replication of existing recipes as well as product manufacturing and packaging. Our custom product lines include poultry, meat and fish specialties, pastas, soups, sauces, certified organic and vegetarian offerings. These can be prepared as entrées, plated meals or bulk-packed meal components.

JOB DESCRIPTION
CLASSIFICATION: Assembly Associate
EFFECTIVE DATE: 10/10/23
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Production
EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY:
Assembles food products in accordance with company specifications. May be assigned to a variety of tasks while working on an assembly line. Tasks include but are not limited to: placing small plastic trays on assembly line, filling small food containers with the appropriate food portions manually or with the use of scoops or mechanical devices while the trays are moving on the conveyor line, weighing product. Positions are rotated within the line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Fast paced line work
  • Use company provided scooper or hand to fill plate with specified product.
  • Ensure that production meets quality standards.
  • Push/pull cart/rack containing food product (HL)
  • Use a shovel or bucket to fill machine hoppers with product (HL)
  • Follow food safety regulations and health codes.
  • Non-slip work shoe
  • Cold work Environment (45-55 degrees)
  • Rotate into various positions as required by production needs.
  • Move, stack or relocate product as necessary.
  • Most items: Lift only, items weighing ounces. May lift tray of food product weighing up to 15 pounds and carry up to 25 feet to rack.

QUALIFICATIONS & POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to work in a hot and cold environment (depending on assigned department)
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and use hands the majority of the shift.
  • Must be a team player.
