Aerospace AssemblerPosition Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Aerospace Assemblerto join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling mechanical components and completed products to engineering specifications while maintaining the highest standards of quality, precision, and safety. The ideal candidate has experience working with small parts, hand tools, blueprints, and quality inspections in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical and final assembly of aerospace components and assemblies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Assemble small parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Install hardware including screws, nuts, bolts, rivets, clips, bushings, and other mechanical fasteners.
  • Verify proper fit, alignment, and functionality of completed assemblies.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Identify and report nonconforming materials, parts, or assemblies.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety procedures and company quality requirements.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve assembly issues.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining exceptional workmanship.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and assembly drawings.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and inspection processes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequently sit, stand, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
