Overview

Touro University Nevada Office of Admissions is seeking a full-time Director of Admissions Operations to be responsible for contributing to TUN's enrollment goals through coordinated, planned, and data driven admissions practices.    The ideal candidate will excel in team leadership, drive results, and be highly motivated and experienced in creating a seamless transition for the candidate from the application to the enrollment stage. The Director is responsible for assisting the academic programs in their efforts to meet their acceptance and enrollment goals. Responsibilities

The Director provides support and leadership to the admissions team, is well versed in the applicant pool and trends, and oversees the communication and processing functions in the application funnel to influence higher application conversion rates. This includes coordinating prospect support to the academic departments in terms of the admissions process, applicant and program management, and marketing.  The Director will also lead prospective, candidate, and incoming student events.  He-she will assist with the review of applications for the specified programs, including evaluation of applications, personal statements, and letters of recommendation to assist with the faculty review. One key responsibility will include formulating and implementing a comprehensive recruitment and admissions plan that includes targeted advertising, travel, campus visits and overseeing the full admissions funnel including applicants and accepted students.  Additionally, this position uses independent authority and discretion and is authorized to commit the University to admissions decisions within assigned programs. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Admissions Operations Coordinator and Manger of Applicant Engagement positions.
  • Works collaboratively with the Assistant Director for Integrated Systems to ensure the overall application process and the admissions operations run effectively and conversion strategies are executed.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the department which includes management of staffing needs, travel, inquiries including phone, email, and in-person, and inventory.
  • Institutes and oversees the applicant engagement strategies of all stages in the application funnel including communication with prospective applicants to encourage and support the completion of the application process and participation in events.
  • Create statistical reports and provide analytical data to assist with recruitment, enrollment, and yield strategies.
  • Through targeted recruitment efforts, they serve as a liaison with various TUN departments to highlight and feature their services, programming, and curriculum to prospective applicants.
  • Work with Academic Leadership, Dean of Student Affairs and the Admissions staff to achieve enrollment goals.
  • Works with the Director of Marketing to ensure advertising and marketing are aligned with the applicant pool and trends while also coordinating updates to the admissions collateral.
  • Represents TUN to increase awareness of TUN's programs and provide guidance in the application process, including engagement with prospective applicants via emails, phone, texting, in-person and virtual presentations.
  • Coordinate events such as open houses, information sessions, campus tours, pathway programs, and accepted student events, both virtual and on campus.
  • Collaborate with the Admissions team to manage the communication plan and oversee prospective student collateral, including postcards, CRM, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Financial Aid, Bursar, and Office of Development regarding scholarships to ensure timely communication that aligns with recruitment and retention efforts of prospective students.
  • Serve as a liaison and engaged member within the Division of Student Affairs and the University community, participating in committees, events, and projects.
  • Show openness to learning about individuals from diverse backgrounds and demographics, demonstrating an inclusive attitude toward all social identities.
