Job description

Department: Major Accounts
Job Summary
Responsible for daily servicing and maintaining of commercial lines customers including rating and marketing; obtaining quotations and assisting in the preparation of Submissions, Proposals and Binders. Provide prompt, accurate and courteous service to Customers, Sales Representatives and Insurance Companies regarding those accounts and other duties, as directed.
Principal Responsibilities
  • Reviews and processes Policies, Audits, and Policy changes.
  • Makes recommendations for coverage additions or changes when appropriate.
  • Interacts with Carriers and internal/external Customers to ensure delivery of exceptional customer service.
  • Participates in the process of, and preparing of Renewal Submissions for Marketing including Application(s), necessary Exhibit(s), Narrative(s), collection of Loss Runs and answers to Underwriting Questions.
  • Participates in account reconciliation for receivables management.
  • Submits Applications to Carriers and follows up to ensure timely receipt of Quotations and Policies.
  • Provides technical support including, but not limited to, completing Applications, Renewal Proposals, Binders, Audits, Coverage Summaries, Endorsements, Cancellations and Certificates of Insurance.
  • At the direction of the Account Executive, respond to and process incoming Client, Carrier and mail requests.
  • Prepares Policy Binders.
  • Responsible for all invoicing.
  • Responsible for initial Policy Checklisting procedures.

Other Functions
  • Maintains Client files that conform to company standards.
  • Maintains workflows, tasks and incoming mail in Document Management System - WorkSmart.
  • Ensures accuracy of account data and input into the agency management system - Sagitta.
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements
  • College degree preferred.
  • Exceptional organization and Client Service Skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Self starter, flexible, able to multi-task and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency required in Microsoft products; Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Knowledge of Document Management and Agency Management Systems preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without Company sponsorship.

Specialized Knowledge or Licenses
Property and Casualty Producer License
ARM, CRIS, CPCU and other specialized designations as appropriate
Working Conditions
Office environment with moderate noise level; able to work flexible hours and travel to other Conner Strong offices and client work sites as needed.
Compensation
Salary for this position ranges from $62,000.00 - $75,000.00. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
Qualifying positions will also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, such as participation in family medical and dental insurance programs, 401K plan, and PTO.
