In order to become an Account Analyst, a key personal attribute of yours should be attention to detail. Most of your duties will focus on double-checking the input of others. Though it can depend on the employer and specific job requirements, you will need at least an associates or a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting for an entry-level job. If you want to advance in your career, you may want to consider earning a master’s degree down the road. You must possess at least basic math skills and the ability to understand balance sheets and other account records. You should be attentive, self-driven, and have an aptitude for customer service. While not often necessary, earning Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification may make you a stronger candidate.
