Job description

Client Finance Analyst (Project Accountant)
Responsibilities
  • Generate client billing for assigned clients
  • Open, close and manage projects in coordination with account team
  • Provide financial support to client account teams and monitor client budgets on a project basis
  • Provide financial information to various departments and clients as required
  • Provide client financial analysis with the review of monthly results, and summary of monthly billings and reconciliation
  • Assist in the creation of project estimates, budgets, and client staffing plans, including calculating fees for client staffing plans
  • Assume role of primary financial contact for account team and resource manager on assigned client business
  • Generate professional financial reports for review with clients as directed by account team
  • Provide complete journal entries, time entry transfers and provide invoicing instructions
  • Reconcile labor hours on client projects
  • Secure client P.O. or necessary work/payment authorizations and ensure adherence to contract billing policies and workflow procedures
  • Monitor accounts receivable status and follow-up on aged balances with client
  • Lead and participate in financial meetings
  • Participate in the coordination and submission of all internal and external periodic reporting to parent company (actuals, budgets, re-forecasts, balance sheet variance analyses, interest, foreign currency, special year end reporting items/YE reporting packages)
  • Prepare journal entries in relation to month end close
  • Assist in inter-company payables and receivables
  • Assist in all internal and external Audits
  • Perform reconciliations and analyses of key accounts and coordinate activities with the treasury and accounts payable department
  • Assist with Ad Hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a accounting background
  • 3-5 years of related financial analysis and/or accounting experience, preferably within an advertising, marketing, PR or service industry environment
  • Finance/Accounting knowledge (Balance Sheet, A/R, P&Ls, etc.)
  • Possess an understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Critical Thinker/ Problem Solver - identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Organized with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel experience, creating and using complicated spreadsheets are part of everyday work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to respond effectively and professionally to the most important inquiries
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership

Experience with NetSuite is strong indicator of success
Salary Range
Our estimated range for this role is $65k - $80k
Compensation packages are based on the skill level and experience each candidate brings to their role. There may also be a more senior or junior position available that could be a better fit with your expertise. Each level has its own compensation range.
