Job description

Seeking a Financial Analyst in Hunt Valley MD for one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors. This role is currently set for a 12-month contract.
** Must be local to Hunt Valley, Maryland and able to work onsite as needed.
  • Support Operation teams as well as overall Financial Planning and Analysis function
  • Prepare, analyze, and report financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses for manufacturing operations
  • Work with appropriate operation teams to develop budgets and provide financial analytical support
  • Prepare journal entries for month-end close in SAP
  • Provide relevant monthly reporting (e.g. monthly spending by cost center, headcount) to drive accountability and enable decision making
  • Monitor site results and processes to ensure effective controls
  • Analyze financial statement and balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare various ad-hoc financial analyses supporting operation decisions
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency in financial reporting and manufacturing processes •
  • Supports internal and external audits

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, engineering or related field
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a finance role, within manufacturing
  • Strong technology skills, including advanced Excel skills, power BI is a plus
  • Experience with SAP, SAP BW, Hyperion preferred
