We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.
We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.
Job DescriptionRole Accountability and Duties:
- Work with Show Manager/Director to review strategic plans to achieve revenue goals by generating new program ideas, formats, and issues.
- Work closely with ISSA Education team and Show Manager to determine topic relevance and projected success. Includes scheduling and planning Education conference calls and meetings, writing and distributing minutes, and communicating with ISSA staff on a regular basis.
- Once speakers are confirmed, works with the Conference Manager to send out contracts and collect speaker details, content, bios, and presentation needs.
- Keep Map Your Show up to date with education program.
- Develop and produce conference evaluation forms, distribute on-site and tally survey results in a timely manner after the show. If available, work with Map Your Show to enter survey questions.
- Work with Marketing to ensure conference information on show websites is timely and updated frequently, once Map Your Show is up to date.
- Coordinate and schedule conference calls with all show partners. Includes writing and distributing minutes and communicating with staff on a regular basis.
- Provide clear, direct, timely communication with speakers.
- Assist Marketing Manager with barter agreements and communication.
- Assist Conference Manager with all on-site conference activities, including temporary personnel, speaker coordination, introductions, room sets, audio visual requirements, etc.
- Function as integral part of overall show management team / effort in performing additional duties as required.
- Process check requests and payments.
- Travel, as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the team:
- Four-year degree or related work experience
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, time management and organization skills with experience in overlapping deadlines and managing complex projects or events.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel.
- Prior experience working within and managing a budget.
- Experience and excellence in a customer-focused role; outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of excellent time-management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000 depending on experience
