You will need to have a thorough understanding of different approaches to risk management, including how to rank and respond to risk, monitor and control risk, and communicate risks throughout the lifecycle of the project or program while managing and mitigating risk.

The significance of the work:

A contract like this is an essential component that will provide Acquisition Workforce (AWF) professionals specific training and education to introduce, refine, and enhance their understanding of Risk Management as it pertains to project and program management and will reduce the skills gap with mission critical acquisition functions. This training supports NGA’s strategic goals to inspire and grow its workforce and provides essential skills for the acquisition workforce.

What You’ll Do:

Provide not less than two (2) which includes one introductory and one intermediate class and not more than six (6) which can include a mixture of introductory and intermediate or up to four optional introductory or four optional intermediate instructor led Risk Management classes held virtually (online) through a tool that supports such instruction and enables screen sharing such Adobe Connect or Microsoft Teams. You will provide students with the following learning objectives in total, and must recommend which objectives align best to the introductory class, and which align best to the intermediate class:

  • Apply scalable planning methods to prepare for project risk management.
  • Prepare a risk management plan to guide your risk approach.
  • Identify project risks by using different identification tools.
  • Integrate risk management techniques and results into a balanced project management approach.
  • Use multiple techniques to identify and document risks.
  • Perform qualitative risk analysis to prioritize risks for response and monitoring.
  • Perform quantitative risk analysis to assess risk to the overall project cost and schedule objectives.
  • Incorporate expected value, probability, and distribution into your risk analysis.
  • Estimate and characterize the impact and timing of risks on your project.
  • Determine and implement appropriate risk response strategies based on risk analysis.
  • Monitor and control identified, and emerging risks based on the risk management plan and project execution results.
  • Communicate risks effectively to all project stakeholders.

What we are looking for:

The ideal candidate would have the ability to relay timely and accurate information on the required subjects in an appropriate manner for adult learners, limit instruction and discussion to the topics and time allotted for the program, as well as foster a culture of integrity and ethics within the program by adopting a proactive approach. It is only natural that you will possess strong writing skills in addition to being able to instruct adult learners, maintain curriculum, develop courses, and have a great attention to detail as well.

Requirements:
  • Must hold Bachelor degree (or higher) in Education, Teaching, Curriculum Design, Instructional Design, Educational Leadership, or similar degree that provides knowledge and education of adult learning.
  • Must demonstrate at least 8 years managing the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of Risk Management training for adult learners.

Compensation:

The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data.
