The Vice President, Resident Wellness (RN) is responsible for working with the Operations team and in partnership with the Health & Wellness Directors to support the overall clinical operations of the communities assigned and their associated P&L. This is an outstanding opportunity for individuals who are team oriented, dedicated, and enthusiastic about working with seniors. In this rewarding role, the Vice President, Resident Wellness (RN) will be responsible for supporting the overall management and leadership of the communities and ensuring that the services offered meet or exceed Balfour’s high standards for quality resident care.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports the day-to-day clinical functions of the communities, including but not limited to, the development and implementation of department policies and procedures, promoting teamwork among departments, working closely with the sales and leasing team to ensure full occupancy
Is involved in the development and implementation of Wellness programming at all of our communities
Provides clinical expertise, leadership, education and mentorship to Health & Wellness Directors and Memory Care Directors within each community
Builds out and trains all clinical staff on the EHR (ALIS)
Ensures compliance with all regulatory state and federal requirements in the senior living space as it relates to care of residents, this includes the following:
Oversight of compliance with safety and infection control programs
Oversight of licensure compliance of each community with all federal, state and local regulations. Ensure compliance with state report requirements
Partner with HR to ensure ongoing staff training meets the needs of the state
Assist with interviewing, hiring, and supervising of nursing and care staff
Ensures compliance and performs legal risk mitigation in assisted living, independent living, and memory care
Develops and delivers training to community leadership teams related to clinical programming, systems and processes, policies, regulatory compliance, and legal risk management.
Oversees the clinical quality assurance programs, survey readiness, risk mitigation measures, and regulatory policies and procedures
Serves as a key member of the company executive leadership, risk management, and legal committees.
Creates and implements consistent practices for nurses and care staff to adhere to while performing required job duties
Completes monthly clinical audits to ensure compliance
Works closely with the sales leasing team to assist in development and implementation of marketing initiatives and sales objectives to ensure full occupancy
Oversees training and support with clinical assessments
Consults with Health & Wellness Directors and department managers to facilitate change and improve service for residents and their visitors
Partners with Health & Wellness Directors to ensure the needs of all residents are met considering their physical, emotional, dining and social needs
Ensures appropriate actions are taken swiftly in response to expectations and feedback from residents and families
Monitors effective implementation of quality improvement plans
