Job Description

Our Employee Benefits practice is looking for an Account Manager to join their collaborative and industrious team. The ideal candidate is a great communicator, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Clear communication is fundamental as you will be working with and building relationships with people across diverse disciplines. In addition, the candidate must be highly organized, motivated, resourceful and a quick learner.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with Account Executives to develop strategic solutions and provide outstanding account management
  • Handle client and carrier questions on a daily basis
  • Prepare specifications and spreadsheets
  • Review proposals, negotiate pricing and assist with 5500 forms

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Very strong communication skills - oral, written, phone and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and build client relationships 
  • Strong analytical, organization and time management skills 
  • Ability to work as a team player 
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook, and PowerPoint desired
  • Minimum five years employee benefits experience (brokerage or carrier)
  • Minimum four years account servicing experience
  • College degree desired
  • Technical expertise in benefits and on state and federal requirements that impact them
  • Driver license required, reliable transportation and ability to travel as needed
  • Current Life & Disability license required or within 3 months of hire
