What You'll Do
As an Account Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor and primary HR-level contact for a portfolio of strategic clients. In partnership with the Account Director, you will help drive client retention, support long-term benefits strategies, and ensure clients receive proactive, high-level service.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing responsive and proactive support
  • Build strong relationships with HR leaders, carrier partners, and internal teams
  • Partner closely with the Account Director to support strategic initiatives and ongoing client needs
  • Assist in developing and presenting client materials, including renewals, year-end reviews, multi-year planning, and open enrollment presentations
  • Support and help manage the annual renewal process for assigned clients
  • Lead client open enrollment meetings both virtually and onsite
  • Oversee day-to-day benefits administration and client service coordination
  • Conduct educational meetings, wellness initiatives, and employee benefit presentations
  • Gather and organize client data to support RFPs and strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate carrier setup, EDI feeds, and carrier discrepancy reporting
  • Review and reconcile billing statements and carrier documentation
  • Support client compliance initiatives, including 5500 filings, Medicare Part D notices, 1095 reporting, PCORI filings, and other regulatory requirements
  • Track deadlines and stay informed on evolving compliance and benefits regulations
  • Assist with mentoring and supporting Client Service Coordinators when applicable
  • Participate in new business presentations and company initiatives as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support special projects and overall team success
  • Travel to client locations for meetings, enrollments, and onsite support, including occasional overnight travel

What You Need to Thrive in This Role
We are looking for someone who is client-focused, strategic, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in employee benefits, health insurance, or a related industry
  • Life, Accident, and Health insurance license, or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits and health insurance administration
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting carrier reports and benefits data
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Client-first mindset with exceptional problem-solving and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with internal teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Salesforce or CRM experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel to client locations and occasionally work outside standard business hours
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply
