Materials/Purchasing Administration
Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a prominent machine manufacturer in the Kentwood, MI area, is seeking a Materials/Purchasing Administration to join their team for Part Time! This facility is offering a wide range of perks such as full benefits, 401K, and profit sharing!
Materials/Purchasing Administration Job Summary:
  1. Pay: $16 - $17 an hour
  2. Part Time:
    1. 2 – 3 days a week
    2. 6 hours each day
  3. 1st Shift: 6:00 pm to 4:30 am
Materials/Purchasing Administration Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Determine which suppliers to use
  2. Negotiate price, delivery, and quality of materials and services
  3. Work with Manufacturing and Sales Dept. to obtain required materials or services
  4. Assist with freight quotes and scheduling
  5. Negotiate and approve contracts with service providers, such as lawn maintenance, snow removal, heating and cooling, water and fire protection
  6. Keep contact materials current with the Administrator
  7. Maintain records for all machinery, routers, saws, shears, printers, etc.
  8. Keep cost records up to date
  9. Assist with new products by monitoring retention and minimum order quantities of polycarbonate, sizes, fasteners and other work on new product
  10. Provide quality inspection of incoming product purchases
Materials/Purchasing Administration Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or GED is required
  2. Must be able to work part-time for 2 – 3 days a week
  3. Computer literate & Print reading skills
  4. Manufacturing procedure background is a bonus
  5. Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  6. Must be able to lift up-to 50 lbs. repeatedly
