What does a Regional Account Manager do?

  • Engage with and grow assigned accounts consisting of credit card issuing institutions, banks, fintech’s, as well as corporations
  • Together with the Regional Business Directors team, own and drive the professional business communications and on-going cross-functional interaction with the Clients, Plano Leadership, London HQ, Operations, IT, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Service. Taking ownership of the operational client experience and meeting client expectations.
  • Maintain a base of existing accounts and build a long-term plan for retention and growth.
  • Carry out regular account reviews. Be viewed as a trusted advisor by senior decision makers at a variety of client facing levels.
  • Position Collinson Travel Experiences as a leading provider of “airport VIP lounge access solutions” that enables clients to sell more products and services to their most valuable customers.
  • Anticipate, understand and respond to the competitive challenges and marketplace issues impacting the client’s business.
  • Assess and ensure compliance to contractual requirements.
  • Identify, pursue and close new business within existing accounts via product, market, and portfolio expansion.
    • Actively identify and pursue additional revenue opportunities, cross sales or expansion of existing portfolios that will increase Collinson’s value to the customer and increase customer satisfaction while meeting growth objectives.
    • Assist in the creation and delivery of sales / product presentations and proposals.
    • Help craft product and service offerings that maximize Collinson’s marketplace appeal to the market’s specific needs.
    • Engage with internal departments and colleagues to drive streamlined solutions that allow for better client servicing through improvement of processes as needed.
    • Travel up to 25% including internationally as needed.

    • Strong communications skills
    • Excellent listening, verbal, interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills.
    • Ability to solicit, negotiate, implement, and maintain a long-term relationships.
    • Good understanding and follow through of sales processes, sales cycles and account management.
    • Well-established ability to build rapport and network effectively, using a "consultative selling" approach.
    • Comfortable to perform in matrix organization with less structured settings and hierarchies
    • Willingness to multitask and eager to take on additional responsibilities that fall both within and outside the scope of the job description.
    • Demonstrate strong conceptual and strategic business skills.
    • Detail oriented with strong problem-solving analytical orientation and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Able to structure an issue and analyze alternative solutions using metrics and other business data.
    • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and provide solutions to these.
    • Able to make sound decisions based on company policies and procedures.
    • Project leadership and management abilities.
    • Salesforce / CRM experience.

    What You'll Need:

    • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years B2B Account Management experience in the financial services loyalty and benefits industry or 7 years relevant equivalent experience
    • Strong industry knowledge or first-hand experience with a major financial institution, credit card issuer or fin tech services provider.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, Excel and PowerPoint in particular.
    • Tableau experience a plus.
    • Fully bi-lingual English and Spanish required (spoken and written); Portuguese a plus.
