Job Description
Title: Clinical Educator II
Responsibilities:
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Education and Training
- Instruct NYS PCA certification classes in our Niagara/Erie
- Assist in developing, updating and maintaining training material and curriculum for PCAs as needed.
- Assists in the agency’s continuing education/in-service program and field competency testing of all clinical staff.
- May also be responsible for the direction, coordination and direct supervision of the agency’s paraprofessional staff and private duty/shift nursing services.
- Efficient function as a mobile employee, able to service multiple units
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, turning.
- Occasionally lifts patients/objects from 100 lbs. to 150 lbs.
- Occasionally pushes objects up to 150 lbs.
- Occasional Sitting
Required Qualifications:
- BCLS (all Educators), ACLS (Acute Educators)
- Certified Dialysis Nurse/Certified Nephrology Nurse (may be obtained within first 6 months of employment
- Current and valid driver’s license
- Preferred Qualifications: BCLS instructor
- ACLS instructor
