Job Description

The Vice-President of Operations should have the ability to multi-task, problem solve and display a high level of efficiency and productivity by prioritizing tasks, strong organizational skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Regularly communicate project status with appropriate internal & external stakeholders via team meetings and huddles.

Remain current, in area of expertise, on industry trends and knowledge.

Evaluate, recommend, and introduce new technologies in support of company operational strategies.

Manage all aspects of manufacturing functions for all three manufacturing departments blending, fermentation and related downstream and liquid & gels.

Assess production capacities, looking for ways to increase throughput and productivity.

Plan strategically to match all production capacity with current & future needs.

Manage all aspects of the production schedules for stock items to meet inventory demands and ensure that special made-to-order products are produced in a timely and efficient manner.

Ensure the documentation of processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities to support lean, high quality manufacturing practices.

Coordinate manufacturing activities to align for proper flow of materials to minimize inventory and meet customer needs.

Ensure implementation of safety procedures in every aspect of all manufacturing.

Determine the appropriate organizational structure, develop job descriptions, and hire or appoint qualified personnel, and adjust as necessary to successfully achieve the mission of the Operations battalion.

Ensure all systems are in place to support the structure and processes needed for continuous improvement.

Lead creation of annual Company budget in all departments of the Operations battalion.

Control expenses to meet budget.

Work to improve existing processes for maximum clarity, efficiency, and success, including but not limited to establishing metrics and guidelines measuring program success.

Provide weekly report during weekly call or meeting with the President.

Answer questions for other members in the business unit and for other business units as requested.

Coordinate with international, finance/HR, fermentation, quality, marketing/regulatory, research/development and operations support, to ensure the effective implementation of projects and initiatives across the Wowing Warrior team.

Identify, lead and track strategies and tactics to support the business unit's annual plan and its related goals and objectives.

Responsible for developing and driving the WIG plan to ensure all responsibilities are economically & efficiently executed in as short of a timeline as is possible not compromising success.

Provide advice and recommendations on strategic and day to day operational imperatives.

Empower business unit to move forward with clarity of purpose and urgency in addition to ensuring they know and embrace the purpose and direction of the company.

Is a coach and counsel to each direct report by participating with them in their assigned roles to critique their performance both positively (recognition) and constructively (suggestions for improvement).

Maintains a proficient business unit by establishing specific performance criteria and conduct quarterly performance reviews (CONNECTs) to ensure each direct report meets performance objectives.

Advise on staffing assignments and priorities considering operational and financial goals and constraints.

Follow all standard operating procedures as well as requirements set by SFSF, NASC and FAMI-QS.

Manage time for most effective way to utilize it for accountable growth.

Know one's culture index

Participates in team huddles and CONNECTS

Compliant with all PPE policies

Completes all checklists as required

Notifies management of any material issues, including assisting with inventory needs.

Performs other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education - Bachelors degree

Required Work Experience - Minimum of five years related experience

Competencies (Preferred):

o Problem Solving Skills, Strong Communication Skills, Planning & Organizational Skills

o Strong computer skills to assist in development and support of critical software tools which support product sales

o Strong technical skills and understanding of digital media.
