Salary:         Competitive salary and benefits package based on qualifications; classified as full-time    salaried; exempt and not eligible for overtime.

Position Overview 

Tuckernuck is looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial ecommerce expert to join our team as our Director of eCommerce. They are responsible for strategically growing tnuck.com and optimizing our online sales as we expand domestically and internationally. The ideal candidate is a numbers-driven, tech-savvy leader who can manage a fast-growing DTC site. 


The Director of eCommerce will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of tnuck.com and will leverage data to continuously improve on the site experience, presenting insights and recommendations to drive sales and conversion. The candidate is expected to have ecommerce operations and project management experience who likes to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative work environment. The role will involve cross-functional collaboration with our marketing, creative, operations, web merchandising, and customer experience teams.


Core Responsibilities

  • Develop best practices in e-commerce to drive conversions, increase AOV and LTV, and develop a personalization strategy.
  • Use site analytics tools (GA4, Shopify Plus, GlewPlus) to measure, report and improve key performance metrics regarding site traffic, conversion analysis and user behavior.
  • Evaluate customer journey throughout the site. Ensure a seamless, intuitive, and enjoyable experience for customers from landing page to checkout to post-purchase support, addressing any issues promptly and effectively. 
  • Work closely with the growth marketing team to key traffic-driving initiatives, optimize SEO, and utilize key product and merchandising strategies to drive channel growth.
  • Oversee and manage relationships with e-commerce platform providers, technology vendors, and other 3rd party partners to ensure the delivery of needed services and solutions. 
  • Create our A/B Testing roadmap to reduce friction in the customer lifecycle funnel and collaborate on site-merchandising initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on all product launches and promotions and communicate relevant information to appropriate team members.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years eCommerce experience with a proven track record of exceeding KPI goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Detailed understanding of end-to-end e-commerce processes including clear understanding of website infrastructure, content management, product attribution, and customer-facing functionality. 
  • Strong expertise in Shopify Plus and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in online merchandising, user experience design, and usability best practices.
  • P&L or line of business management experience, core operational strength and the ability to make budget decisions to drive business success.
  • Deep technical understanding of ecommerce site operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret extensive data to make actionable recommendations.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work quickly, efficiently and strategically with a wide range of internal departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, develop, and grow teams.
  • Able to manage up, down and across with results.
