We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving growth and revenue for our accounting firm, with a specific focus on growing our wealth management and consulting services. As the Business Development Manager, you will focus on identifying our ideal target client, nurturing new business opportunities; evaluating and deepening existing client relationships, optimizing pricing strategies and developing strategies to expand our client base.
Requirements:Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement business development strategies that align with the firms strategic plan
- Lead pricing strategies to ensure firm profitability
Client Acquisition
- Identify, pursue and generate new business opportunities to expand the firms client base
- Collaborate with relationship managers to understand client needs and tailor services accordingly
Networking
- Coordinate and attend industry events, conferences and professional functions to build relationships with potential clients, strategic partners and other professionals
Proposal Development
- Prepare and present proposals to potential clients with an outline of the firm services, tailored to the specific client
Reporting & Analytics
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development, including different strategies implemented
- Utilization of HubSpot to monitor pipeline and client relationship metrics
Training & Development
- Provide training and coaching to other team members involved in business development
- Facilitate monthly business development team meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within the financial services sector, with a specific focus on wealth management.
- Strong knowledge of financial products and services, including investments, retirement planning, estate planning, and taxation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Results-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in HubSpot software is a plus
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
