Job Description:

BrightKey is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Legal Filing Clerk. As a Legal Filing Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting legal professionals by managing and organizing physical files and documents, assisting with court proceedings, and providing administrative support.

Schedule, Benefits, & Compensation:
  • On-site, First shift, Monday through Friday - 40 hours per week
  • Medical, Dental, & Vision and Insurance

  • Paid Time Off
  • Pay is $17.56/hr plus $4.57/hr in health and welfare pay

Responsibilities:
  • Pulling physical files and documents for lawyers and judges as requested.
  • Attending court cases to assist with and retrieve additional documents as needed.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely filing and organization of legal documents.
  • Printing, copying, and scanning documents as required.
  • Assisting with the preparation of legal documents and correspondence.
  • Providing administrative support such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive legal information.
  • Collaborating with legal professionals and other staff members to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a legal setting highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal documentation and terminology.
  • Previous experience working with legal or administrative documents is highly desirable.
  • Candidates should have a strong understanding of filing systems and be capable of maintaining meticulous records to ensure easy retrieval of information when needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in medical documentation and terminology may be considered an asset.
