Food Service Specialist

Food Service Specialist Responsibilities:

The Food Service Specialist will be responsible for various tasks related to food preparation, serving and cleanliness in the designated areas. The Food Service Specialist will have a passion for food service, excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. The Food Service Specialist reports directly to the Kitchen Manager.

Food Service Specialist duties will include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and cook food, maintaining availability, quality and consistency
• Adhere to all food safety procedures and standards within the course of performing job duties
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food service areas, including kitchen, dining and storage area
• Execute food preparation methods, portion sizes and presentation of food
• Manage product storage, maintain and rotate inventory to avoid damage/spoilage
• Maintain clean, sanitary dishes and utensils
• Load soiled dishes into dish rack and prepare dish machine for cleaning cycle
• Special tasks as assigned

Experience/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service skills
• Two (2) years of experience in the food service industry
• Lift up to 50 pounds

• Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 10 hours
• Able to bend, kneel, stoop

Hours:

The Food Service Specialist is either a full time or part time position, hours may vary

Salary/Income:

The Food Service Specialist is a non-exempt, hourly position
