Job Description

Job Summary:

The Continuous Improvement Project Manager is responsible for key projects that support corporate strategies, while also serving as an enterprise process improvement resource.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or similar required or ten years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Eight or more years of work experience in a Process Excellence/Continuous Improvement role
  • Minimum of five years of experience leading Process Improvement projects
  • Minimum of three years of experience in an operations environment required
  • Minimum of three years of experience in metrics analysis required or knowledge of preferred project management methodologies
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certified or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) required
  • Strong Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Process Improvement methodology, tools, and techniques
  • Strong knowledge of Visio, project management-related software such as MS Project, Smart Sheet, Monday.com, Access, and other project management tools for task tracking and team collaboration efforts
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills
  • Demonstrated excellence in problem-solving and solution recommendation skills using the Plan-Do-Check-Act model
  • Ability to use computer, printer, and software programs necessary (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with clients, project team members, customers and vendors to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Possesses strong math and statistical analysis skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize workload, organize technical work and resources
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage time, and plan and implement objectives effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, recall information with accuracy, and pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure
  • Ability to lead, supervise, teach, and accept direction

Essential Functions:

  • Leads and documents project progress and tasks to increase the velocity of programs and initiatives through the CI Team pipeline to obtain desired business results
  • Analyzes existing tasks and processes with a focus on identifying process gaps, non-value-added steps, and other impediments to efficient operations
  • Leads and facilitates cross-functional teams to achieve improvement objectives. Implements course corrections as needed during process improvement implementations
  • Develops process and task steps within work documents. Assists in creating training requirements for the purpose of improving and controlling the emerging processes
  • Manages the CI Process within the Team, providing visibility of project status. Manages to client/project target completion dates and regularly reports on progress
  • Manages and expands the project management platform to drive improved client communication and provide steady communication to all stakeholders
  • Develops, maintains, and revises project plans for large cross-functional projects. Keeps projects and project participants on task. Tracks progress against project goals and updates key stakeholders on progress of project goals
  • Develops, maintains, and revises work plans as appropriate for specific areas of expertise. Integrates work with other departmental initiatives and revises as needed
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to overcome barriers to achieving project goals
  • Utilizes Lean and Six Sigma training and tools to educate and enable clients to self-manage projects upon hand-off and implementation phases of the project lifecycle
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Travel:

  • Up to 30% travel as required to successfully serve our clients, including overnight stays
