Strategic Operations Manager

Stratpharma AG is a global leader in the medical device space.  We are a Swiss company based in Basel that specializes in innovative film-forming full-contact topical medical products to improve medical and aesthetic outcomes in post-procedure care in aesthetic dermatology, plastic surgery, wound care, women’s health, and radiation oncology.  Stratpharma Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of Stratpharma AG and is Headquartered in San Diego, California.


Overview:

    • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the supply chain to ensure timely procurement of raw materials, production scheduling, and distribution of medical devices to customers while minimizing costs and optimizing inventory levels.
    • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality management systems to ensure that all products meet regulatory requirements and adhere to quality standards. This includes overseeing quality control processes and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
    • Manufacturing Operations: Manage manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of medical devices while maintaining high quality standards and adhering to regulatory requirements.
    • Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate logistics and distribution operations to ensure timely delivery of products to customers while minimizing transportation costs and optimizing distribution networks.
    • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance.
    • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop a high-performing operations team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure that team members have the necessary skills and resources to excel in their roles.
    • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively, and costs are controlled within budgetary constraints.
    • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks that could impact the company's ability to deliver products to customers or comply with regulatory requirements.
    • Customer Interaction:
      • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, or in-person.
      • Listen attentively to customer concerns, assess their needs, and provide appropriate solutions or recommendations.
      • Manage and resolve customer complaints in a timely and empathetic manner.
      • Follow up with customers to ensure their issues are resolved to their satisfaction.

      Job Detail:

       

      • Collaborate with the EVP of Sales and CEO to develop and implement the US business strategy.
      • Oversee administrative tasks in conjunction with the Director of HR.
      • Provide product support to the inside sales manager and team.
      • Manage the Business Analyst along with EVP on Salesforce, data sheets, and shipping/logistics duties and projects.
      • Oversee customer service inbound phone and email in line with ISO standards.
      • Assist with planning and coordinating congresses.
      • Help calculate bonuses, set up new customers, process orders, and provide training and onboarding to new employees.
      • Work with marketing to manage cardstock for reps, congresses and customers.
      • Manage pharmacy operations including product, inventory, data and billing.
      • Work with third-party logistics providers and the Director of Logistics to ensure efficient operations.
      • Develop and implement strategies to improve overall customer satisfaction and retention.
      • Monitor customer feedback and identify areas for improvement in products or services.
      • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the entire customer journey.
      • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.
      • Develop and oversee operational policies and procedures to ensure smooth business operations.
      • Lead and manage a team of operations and customer service professionals, providing mentorship and coaching as necessary.
      • Manage the budget and financial performance of the operations and customer service departments.
      • Work closely with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans.
      • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to operations and customer service

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s Degree or higher is preferred.
      • Candidates should possess 3+ years in the pharmaceutical or medical device sales industry, preferably operations.
      • Strong documented sales operations result over time.
      • Strong business acumen.
      • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clientele, distributors, supply chain, pharmacies, subordinates and Stratpharma Team.
      • Ability to adapt and succeed in a very dynamic marketplace and work environment; experience in developing new innovative markets.
      • Apply a range of problem-solving techniques to think through and solve issues creatively to improve performance and company effectiveness.
      • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting towards meeting established objectives.
      • Demonstrates solid clinical product knowledge and comprehension.
      • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
      • Highly effective organizational skills to implement a variety of programs, such as speaker programs and other activities.
      • Some overnight travel may be required.
      • Advanced Computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
      • A valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
      • Passing of background check, which may include verification of prior employment, criminal conviction history, educational and driving records.
      • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
