The Manager, Strategic Services focuses on providing account planning and program development for existing clients and Derse's targeted new acquisition accounts. This role drives various strategic initiatives such as; project delivery, client engagement, measurement implementations, and custom client solutions. The Manager, Strategic Services will also oversee their team on a day-to-day basis and monitor project statuses on behalf of the CSS team.  This position plays a critical role for Derse, and our clients engagement within the world of experiential marketing. Manager, Strategic Services Responsibilities

  • Partner with VP of Client Strategy to provide account planning and program development for existing priority growth accounts and targeted new acquisition accounts.
  • Lead capabilities demonstrations of strategic services and measurement technologies.
  • Provide sales leadership for services, performance metrics, and measurement programs.
  • Engage sales teams and clients to increase adoption and value of offerings.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis on capabilities, pricing, and positioning of strategic services and programs.
  • Deliver business intelligence research to provide actionable insights into targeted industries, trade shows, and brands to support growth.
  • Develop and maintain sales tools, capabilities materials, and RFP/RFX content.
  • Develop annual business plan, including growth strategy and product development in tandem with VP, Client Strategy.
  • Lead and manage CSS team, including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and day-to-day oversight of the team.
  • Oversee workflow, resource allocation, and deliverable quality (proposals, invoices).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and HR practices.
  • Lead end-to-end project management for strategic initiatives and measurement technology implementations.
  • Develop and deliver strategic plans, assessments, training programs, and portfolio optimization recommendations.
  • Conduct client interviews to inform strategy development, financial models, and investment planning.
  • Facilitate client workshops and guide strategic discussions, including engagement mapping.
  • Oversee large opportunities, supporting retention and new business proposal development.
  • Direct custom solution design, development, and QA/QC in collaboration with application teams.
  • Manage measurement deployments, including team oversight, partner development, data validation, and security compliance.
Requirements

Manager, Strategic Services Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 7 - 10+ years experience in trade show/event sales and marketing required.
  • Experience in programmatic leadership and/or event portfolio management required.
  • Prior experience managing or supervising staff on variety of fast paced projects preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills both in-person and virtual a must.
  • Working knowledge of workflow programs and project management tools (Adobe Workfront, Asana, Monday.com, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and related.
  • Ability to travel and support business climate. Travel is considered moderate.
