    • Conferences, retreats, and trainings both within and outside the diocese
  • Other Office of Evangelization and Discipleship (OED) duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Practicing Catholic in conformity with the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.

  • 5+ years of experience working in ministry to youth and/or young adults.
  • B.A. or higher preferred in ministry, catechesis, theology, or a related field.
  • Extensive formation in the competencies of evangelization, discipleship, small groups, and lay ministry development.
  • Formation through the Encounter School of Ministry is highly valued; successful candidates without this specific training in teaching, equipping, and activating disciples to demonstrate the love of God in their spheres must be open to receiving it upon hire.
  • Ability to fulfill a minimum of a weekly supervisory meeting (usually virtual), a monthly in-person team meeting, additional departmental meetings, and periodic OED Office and diocesan events as needed.
  • Professional demeanor reflective of the values and mission of the Diocese of Raleigh.
