Vanguard Renewables is the premier anaerobic digester developer/owner/operator in the United States. Our closed-loop anaerobic digestion process converts organic waste and cow manure into green electricity or renewable natural gas as well as other related “value-added” products. Our head office is in Weston Massachusetts, and we are funded by institutional capital partners. We currently have over twenty projects in development operating in over thirteen States. We have a plan to continue to aggressively expand into other domestic markets.

As a result of our continued aggressive growth, we are adding a Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance Manager to our high growth Construction/Development team.

This individual is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all safety and Quality Assurance activities of a POD under construction according to the design and specification parameters. This includes coordinating with contractors and performing quality control and safety checks.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Construction team and report directly to our Safety Director. It is important to note that an extensive travel schedule is a large part of this role of approximately 50%-75%, out of State by airPrimary Responsibilities

• Site safety audits
• Ensuring JSA compliance
• Verifying sub and subcontractor documentation; lift plans, TRIR, operator qualifications, and safety plans
• Document nonconformance.
• Provide insights and directions on emergency response plans prior to mobilization to ensure they are realistic and achievable.
• Understand project specifications.
• Analyze impacts on the environment.
• Support for developing project document control programs.
• Risk identification, Risk analysis, recovery planning.
• Support in project pre-planning & development.
• Up to 30% of travel is required (out of State by air).

Qualifications

• • 5-7 years of QA/QC or safety experience
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws
  • Proven ability to understand projects according to outlined quality specifications and safety requirements.
  • Full understanding of project reporting.
  • Basic understanding of contract language.
  • Understanding of Environmental Compliance Plan.
  • Basic ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Basic understanding of consequences of all project performance.
  • Basic schedule development and maintenance.
  • Experience in contract compliance.
  • Experience in document control program development and execution.
  • Experience in blueprint and specification  reading.
  • OSHA 30 Minimum
