HR Manager / People Operations Manager

Job Title: HR Manager 

Location: Sylmar, CA

Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic People Operations Manager to lead our HR and talent management initiatives. This role will be pivotal in shaping our organizational culture, overseeing all HR functions, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and coordinate HR training programs for new employees and management staff.

· Cultivate leadership among all staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

· Ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.

· Lead recruitment and retention efforts, identifying innovative strategies to attract and retain top talent.

· Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

· Serve as a consultant to managers on personnel issues, providing guidance and support as needed.

· Manage employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance.

· Conduct job analyses to create and update job descriptions.

· Stay up-to-date with changes in HR and employment law.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field preferred.

· Minimum of 2 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years of supervisory and management experience preferred.

· Extensive knowledge of employment and labor laws, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and worker's compensation leave laws.

· SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and HR databases.

· Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $70,000-$80,000 per year
