The Quality Control Assistant

Job Description The Quality Control Assistant is responsible for the duties listed below: Detailed Duties & Responsibilities: Review and approve master manufacturing records Assist in the creation and maintenance of label/production specifications Maintain and update, as required, acceptable finished product and packaging inspectional standards to assure product quality. Ensure that all procedures and activities performed are GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliant. Manage document control and compliance.

Conduct internal audits for compliance to 21CFR Part 111. Responsible for assisting in the approval of Standard Operating Procedures and policies for the manufacturing facility Review completed records/logs to ensure compliance with good documentation requirements and submit them to QA promptly. Assist quality personnel in obtaining documentation when required.

Review all logbooks in the inspection, labeling, and packaging areas. Support supplier qualification program. Assist with the training of support staff.

Ability to assist in regulatory and third-party audits and inspections. File customer and laboratory documentation. Input and confirm batch tickets in the ERP system.

Assist in the request of COAs, specification sheets, allergen information etc. from vendors as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Able to work the hours of 6:00am-2:30pm Skills Required: Practical understanding and implementation of applicable GMPs. Experience in a Quality Department located within a manufacturing plant environment. Prior management of Quality department within a manufacturing environment preferred.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail. Should possess laboratory and methods understanding including troubleshooting.

Education & Experience: High School Diploma/GED or College Experience either through on-the job training and/or combination of previous job experience. Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
