Senior Accountant

Position Summary:

Crushing Equipment Solutions is a startup operation representing Metso and other Crushing and Screening OEMs in Texas and Oklahoma.  This position will reside in Aurora, CO and will play a critical role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth and profitability. Our systems consist of Fishbowl for inventory management and QuickBooks for financials, along with Bill.com for payables. 

Essential Functions:

·    Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.

·    Ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

·    Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management based on analysis of financial data.

·    Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with senior management.

·    Manage budget variances and provide explanations for significant discrepancies.

·    Oversee general ledger maintenance and reconciliation activities.

·    Review journal entries, accruals and adjustments to ensure accuracy and completeness.

·    Assist with evaluating current processes to identify areas for improvement.

·    Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.

·    Assist in the coordination of external audits and tax filings, providing necessary documentation and support as required.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• CPA preferred
• 5-7 years of work experience accounting
• Fishbowl and QuickBooks experience preferred
