Marcum Search has a client located in Suffolk County, NY with an immediate opening for a full time Payroll Tax Auditor- This is an onsite position, 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Audit client payroll tax liabilities for accuracy of tax codes and tax calculations.
- Assist with the filing of quarterly payroll tax returns for clients.
- Review and prepare responses to government tax inquiries.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting; CPA strongly preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in public accounting
- Flexibility regarding peak payroll tax season work requirements a must
- Strong organizational skills to effectively handle multiple priorities with short deadlines
