About the Role

A senior engineer to support the networking layer of our collective projects, with a focus on the current proof of work implementation and its migration to proof of stake.

Our client is looking for engineers with experience in mining or staking pools.

You will be expected to lead your own projects as well as contribute to projects across the organization. You will have the opportunity to work on both core products and research efforts, and as such, this position is best for a self-starter who likes to learn new things.

Responsibilities

Lead the middleware product for block proposer / builder separation in Ethereum 2.
Gather requirements, propose a solution to the Ethereum community, guide the secure implementation of the solution.
Investigate failures and find solutions to keep the infrastructure stable in adversarial conditions.
Write integration code and deploy middleware solutions in production environments.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience working on the networking layer of distributed systems.
Excellent understanding of the Eth2 and Eth1 nodes management solutions.
Experience in setting up a secure and reliable connectivity layer between multiple nodes of a distributed system.
Expert in at least one programming language.

Nice-to-haves
