National Sales Executive

As a Sales Executive at K & L Freight Management, you will focus on the fast-paced freight and brokerage aspect of our business, helping customers move their inventory by providing logistics solutions. You will create and manage your individual portfolio of accounts through constant communication with customers. These conversations include, but are not limited to, determining customer needs, selling solutions to prospective customers, and identifying and resolving issues. Additional business is generated through inside sales by way of industry referrals and prospecting while upholding K & L Freight’s commitment to service.
The ideal candidate should be able to focus on personal sales targets, new business development, maintaining customer relationships and market knowledge/ experience in Freight Forwarding Industry.
This position requires an energetic, personally motivated and results driven professional. Must be a team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills. Looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in the logistics industry.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Generate new customer base through daily cold calling
- Up-sell, build, maintain and manage existing customer accounts
- Generate leads through shipper & consignee sales
- Customer networking for backhaul coverage
- Communicate information timely and accurately
- Identify and execute revenue enhancing strategic partnerships
- All other duties as assigned
Required Skills, Characteristics, and Experience:
- Proven track record of building book of business with RFP, spot, and expedited critical freight
- Established presence in the market place preferred
- 5+ years in logistics/transportation preferred
