Vice President of Operations

Skytech, inc. is a General Aviation sales, service and management organization specializing in high-end owner flown and business aircraft. Skytech represents the Piper and Pilatus PC12 product lines; as well as quality pre-owned aircraft. With full-service FBO’s at the Carroll County Regional Airport in Westminster, Maryland (Baltimore/Washington Metro Area) and York County Airport in Rock Hill, South Carolina (Charlotte Metro Area), Skytech is ideally positioned to serve the Mid-Atlantic aviation community. This position is open for applicants at any of our locations. 

GENERAL PURPOSE
To direct and oversee all of the organization’s operations functions, which encompass FBO, facilities, and the flight department. Flight department activities include Part 135 Charter, Part 91 Aircraft Management, and Part 91 company support. Directs and oversees all the operational activities of the departments and integrates into the company’s mission. As a member of the Executive Team, the VP of Operations will interact regularly with other Executive Team members to achieve corporate goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Flight Department oversight
• Regulatory compliance for Part 91 and Part 135 operations
• Facility location responsibility
• FBO operations
• Airport lease compliance
• Flight Department and FBO team supervision
• Facility maintenance and project coordination
• Continuity of operations between multiple locations
• Regulatory compliance including FAA, TSA, State and County

OTHER DUTIES
• Participate in Executive Team strategy and planning sessions
• Manage certain administrative functions or tasks as required by CEO

QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of management experience
• Aviation experience required including Part 91 and Part 135
• Pilot experience not required, but preferable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as analytical and organizational skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
