Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement food safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate safety training programs for employees to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve quality control processes and systems.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.
- Participate in quality audits to assess the effectiveness of quality systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure consistent quality inspection practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science required. Preferred in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or related field.
- Proven experience as a Food Safety Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Flavor Industry preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of FDA regulations, CGMP guidelines, and quality control principles.
- Strong understanding of quality systems, QA/QC processes, and quality inspection techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify potential safety risks and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills to effectively train employees on safety protocols and procedures.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
