Human Resources Manager Description

Our client is looking for a Human Resources Manager to add to their team in Ruston, LA. Reporting to the Director of HR, you will be responsible for payroll, benefits, and policies of all employees at this location. To be successful in the role, you must have at least 3 years of HR experience, understand and be able to process numbers in Excel, and be comfortable managing the payroll and benefits. Our client is looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and who knows employment and labor laws. This is a great opportunity to take the HR reigns at an established company.

Human Resources Manager Responsibilities

•    Lead and approve all staffing and recruiting efforts
•    Represent the company at any legal hearings
•    Submit all required employee documentation
•    Manage payroll and benefit administration
•    Liaise with outside payroll support company
•    Ensure performance evaluations are completed and filed on all employees
•    Create and distribute monthly HR reports to management
•    Create and maintain accurate job postings and descriptions
•    Conduct periodic stay interviews
•    Complete weekly walk-throughs of the manufacturing floor
•    Plan and execute employee retention programs
•    Receive, review, and process invoices from benefits administration company

Human Resources Manager Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree required
•    3+ years of HR experience required
•    Manufacturing or Union experience required
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
