Director, IT ERP Solutions

- Act as a trusted technology leader, providing business units with guidance and strategic leadership on technology solutions for short- and medium-term issues.
- Collaborate with key IT members and leaders to support cross functional initiatives and explore IT enhancements that support medium-term plans for growth and efficiency.
- Represent the IT technical team in planning sessions regarding Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion Cloud solutions for HNI’s business objectives.
- Support the development of business cases for IT investments needed to support the application architecture road map.
- Collaborate with the corporate and IT Leadership on a 3–5-year roadmap for Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion, and other ERP solutions.
- Develop and technology roadmap which supports long-term business needs, while planning for change management, costs, resources, training, deployment, and support, to ensure successful widespread adoption.
- Support HNI’s migration from Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud.
- Manage progress against the roadmap by coordinating with cross-functional teams and partners.
- Continuously self-educate on new and evolving solutions and technologies from existing and prospective vendors, assessing their offerings for potential impact on the organization and identifying opportunities to incorporate them into our IT ecosystem.
- Participate actively in high-level, technical conversations with internal subject matter experts in areas such as Oracle Databases, Oracle EBS & Fusion applications, and Oracle EBS Architecture.
- Supervise the development of new solutions (including new processes and policy changes, new system capabilities and/or configurations, as needed).
- Communicate IT roadmap plans and rationales to technical and business leaders to build consensus around the recommended strategy.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers for Oracle EBS applications.
- Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality in the context of our industry.
- Evaluate new and existing members with an eye toward professional development, upskilling, and training; identify opportunities to retrain existing members or to enhance our skillset through vendor relationship to meet our medium-term roadmap goals.
- 15+ years of technical and/or functional experience in Oracle EBS and/or Oracle FUSION
- 10+ years of leadership and management experience in IT build-and-run environments.
- 10+ years of experience working with a U.S.-based, discrete manufacturing company.
- A 4-year bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Oracle E-Business Suite Modules: Deep understanding of various Oracle EBS modules such as Financials, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, and Logistics, including their functionalities, data models, and integration points.
- Oracle Workflow: Understanding of Oracle Workflow for designing and automating business processes within Oracle EBS, including workflow setup, customization, and monitoring.
- Oracle EBS Architecture: Comprehensive knowledge of Oracle EBS architecture, including its components such as the database tier, application tier, web tier, concurrent processing, and integration with other systems.
- Oracle Integration Technologies: Knowledge of Oracle integration technologies such as Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Integration Cloud, and Oracle Application Integration Architecture (AIA) for integrating Oracle EBS with other enterprise systems.
- Oracle Application Framework (OAF): Familiarity with Oracle Application Framework for customizing and extending Oracle EBS user interfaces, personalization, and customizations to meet business requirements.
- Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF): Understanding of Oracle ADF for developing custom extensions, integrations, and web services within Oracle EBS.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration: In-depth knowledge and experience in installation, configuration, patching, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security management.
