Workplace strategy is the process of aligning an organization's work environment with its business goals, employee needs, and culture to improve productivity, collaboration, and satisfaction. It involves analyzing how employees use space, implementing flexible work arrangements, and designing office layouts that support both individual and group work. Workplace strategists use data and employee feedback to create spaces that foster innovation, well-being, and efficiency. This can include decisions about office design, remote work policies, and the integration of technology. The ultimate goal is to create a work environment that helps the organization achieve its objectives while supporting employee engagement.

Effective collaboration is key to balancing employee needs with business objectives, and these professionals frequently act as a bridge between stakeholders to drive consensus and ensure successful project outcomes.

Job description

I'm recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised workplace design and strategy consultancy looking to appoint a Workplace Strategy Lead as part of the continued growth of its North American business. The firm is regarded as one of the industry's leaders in workplace strategy, combining strategy, design, engineering and delivery to help some of the world's most recognised organisations transform how they work. Rather than viewing workplace strategy as a standalone service, it's embedded throughout every stage of the client journey, giving strategists the opportunity to influence projects from early business conversations through to long-term portfolio evolution. This is an opportunity to join a highly respected team where strategy sits at the heart of the business. You'll work directly with senior client stakeholders, helping organisations solve complex workplace challenges while developing into a trusted advisor on larger portfolio programmes. The Role * Lead workplace strategy engagements for corporate clients across a variety of industries. * Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews and strategic planning sessions. * Develop workplace strategies that align business objectives, culture and employee experience. * Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and become a key advisor throughout the project lifecycle. * Support broader portfolio strategy conversations across multi-site client programmes. * Work closely with design, engineering and project delivery teams to ensure strategic thinking is carried through into execution. * Contribute to client presentations, strategic initiatives and the continued growth of the workplace strategy practice. Requirements * 5-12+ years' experience within workplace strategy, workplace consulting or corporate real estate. * Experience delivering workplace strategy projects for corporate clients. * Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills. * Naturally personable with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and build lasting client relationships. * Curious, commercially aware and able to adapt across different industries and client types. * Experience within a consultancy or design practice with an established workplace strategy function is preferred. What's on Offer * Competitive base salary and bonus. * Hybrid working. * Opportunity to work with globally recognised clients on complex workplace transformation programmes. * Clear progression into a portfolio strategy and client advisory role, with the opportunity to develop skills beyond traditional workplace strategy. * Collaborative culture with significant investment in learning, mentoring and long-term career development. This is an opportunity to join one of the world's most respected workplace consultancies, working alongside some of the industry's leading strategists while helping shape the future of work for major global organisations.
