Job description

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Manager to help advance commercial strategy and revenue optimization across Small Law. This role is well suited for a strong business partner who thrives in a matrixed environment, can translate data and business signals into clear recommendations, and can help operationalize commercial priorities with discipline and pace.
In this role, you will support the development, launch, execution, and measurement of initiatives that strengthen customer retention, product adoption, revenue performance, and customer experience. The successful candidate will bring curiosity, analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and a bias toward practical action that improves outcomes for customers and the business.
About the Role
In this role as a Manager, Commercial Strategy, you will be accountable for:
  • Commercial Strategy: Analyze customer, product, pricing, revenue, and market signals to identify opportunities that improve commercial outcomes to support sustainable growth
  • Retention Strategy: Support the design and operationalization of customer initiatives, including targeted retention motions, risk-based outreach strategies, and customer segment treatments to improve retention
  • Risk Management: Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, Commercial Excellence, and Analytics teams to identify, validate, and translate customer risk signals into actionable business recommendations
  • Enablement: Use data and stakeholder insights to identify adoption opportunities, friction points, and enablement needs for priority products, including AI-enabled offerings and modernization initiatives
  • Customer Obsession: Synthesize customer feedback, competitive insights, NPS/EASE trends, and other market inputs into clear themes, implications, and recommended actions for business partners
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Coordinate across matrixed teams to clarify objectives, align stakeholders, support execution planning, and help move initiatives from insight to pilot to scale
  • Product Migration Strategy: Help support and operationalize product migration initiatives through coordinating cross-functional efforts that support adoption, retention, and revenue objectives
  • Additional support for commercial policy and programs as needed

About You
You're a fit for the role of Manager, Commercial Strategy if your background includes:
  • Customer Lifecycle Expertise: Deep knowledge of lifecycle stages, behaviors, and risk indicators, and history if apply those insights to support customer engagement and commercial success
  • Commercial Experience: Excellent track record of supporting commercial strategy, revenue optimization, retention, customer success, product adoption, pricing, business operations, or related strategic initiatives
  • Financial Knowledge: Understanding financial principles and metrics and their impact on business goals
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with complex or ambiguous data, identify patterns, and translate findings into actionable business recommendations
  • Strategic Thinking: Capable of developing both short and long-term strategies that align with business objectives
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill insights into executive-ready updates, presentations, and recommendations
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, Finance, Commercial Excellence, and Data & Analytics teams
  • Curiosity and Critical Thinking: Brings intellectual curiosity and rigorous critical thinking to problem-solving - asking the right questions before jumping to solutions

Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial, financial, revenue management or strategic growth role, with a track record of developing, launching, executing and tracking successful initiatives
  • Experience using Tableau, Alteryx and PowerBI to analyze large volumes of data, draw insights, make appropriate recommendations and track to results
  • Passionate about the use of AI to deliver results
  • Strong preference for candidates with an advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Background in the legal technology industry preferred

The base compensation range varies across locations.For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $119,700 USD - $222,300 USD.Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
