Job description

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Strategy Specialist to support procurement and commercial operations for a leading oil & gas operator. This role will partner with internal stakeholders, vendors, Legal, Finance, and Operations to manage sourcing activities, negotiate contracts, analyze spend, and oversee the full contract lifecycle using SAP and Ariba.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in oil & gas procurement, strategic sourcing, commercial contracts, and supplier management.


  • Manage sourcing activities and vendor relationships for assigned categories
  • Lead and support the Request for Proposal (RFP) process
  • Evaluate vendors, negotiate commercial terms, and award contracts
  • Draft and review contracts with Legal support
  • Perform spend and cost analysis to identify savings opportunities
  • Manage contracts and purchase orders in SAP and Ariba
  • Coordinate invoicing and payment issues with vendors and Accounts Payable
  • Monitor supplier performance and contract compliance
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Distribution, or a related field
  • 5–10 years of oil & gas industry experience
  • Technical understanding of production or operator environments
  • Experience with SAP and Ariba
  • Strong contract negotiation and commercial strategy experience
  • Experience leading or participating in RFPs and vendor selection
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with spend analysis and cost optimization
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
