Job Title: Facilities Maintenance and Logistics Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic Facilities Maintenance and Logistics Technician to join our team. This multifaceted role involves a wide range of responsibilities including cleaning rugs and upholstery for customers, managing the delivery and pickup of dumpsters, maintaining cleanliness and functionality of vehicles, equipment, and warehouse, fulfilling supply orders, conducting maintenance on equipment and trucks, overseeing equipment and supplies sign in/out processes, managing truck supplies, operating a forklift, and towing trailers as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Clean rugs and upholstery for customers, ensuring high-quality service and satisfaction.
2. Coordinate the delivery and pickup of dumpsters, maintaining proper documentation and communication with clients and vendors.
3. Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment, and warehouse facilities to uphold cleanliness standards and ensure a safe working environment.
4. Pull supply orders accurately and efficiently, maintaining inventory levels and organizing supplies for easy access.
5. Place orders for supplies and materials as needed, ensuring timely delivery and appropriate stock levels.
6. Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and trucks to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
7. Manage the sign-in and sign-out process for equipment and supplies, maintaining accurate records and accountability.
8. Check and replenish truck supplies specific to a restoration business, including plastic contractor bags, cleaning solutions, protective gear, and other necessary items to support restoration projects and operational readiness.
9. Safely operate a forklift to move and organize materials within the warehouse or loading/unloading trucks.
10. Tow trailers as required, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.

Job Requirements / Skills
1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
2. Previous experience in facilities maintenance, logistics, or related fields preferred
3. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
4. Proficiency in basic maintenance tasks and equipment operation.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
6. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a forklift and tow trailers.
7. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
8. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to equipment operation and maintenance.

Incumbent must be prepared to:
  • Move up to 50 pounds or more occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
  • Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers, phones etc.
  • Fingering and Repetitive motions, such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching, and typing during your normal working environment.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others quickly, accurately, and receive and act on detailed information.
  • Close visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.
  • Be exposed to various inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
  • May be required to travel for short periods of time.
