Job Description

CVP is an award-winning healthcare and next-gen technology consulting firm recognized for excellence and innovation in the solutions we provide our clients across healthcare, national security, and the public sector. CVP seeks an experienced Human Factors Engineer to join our growing health innovation team. As a Human Factors Engineer, you will use your expertise to improve usability, safety, and supportability of healthcare systems with the goal of optimizing system performance and improving patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Make thoughtful suggestions during live demo calls and engage with participants during any type of user session.
  • Visualize how design changes made to products will affect all users.

  • Analyze research data for trends and insights.  
  • Create high fidelity research reports summarizing your findings. 
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to integrate user feedback into the design process.
  • Recommend redesigns or minimize negative impacts where products or processes are essential. 

  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize features and enhancements based on user feedback and business goals.
  • Communicate human factor issues to the engineering team and to end users, both formally and informally.

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance. US Citizenship is required.
  • Master's degree and 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Must have a deep understanding of research and industry trends and apply this state-of-the-art knowledge in findings and methods to devise strategies, evaluations, and designs to assess products and processes.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research techniques. 
  • Experience performing both generative and evaluative studies. 
  • Experience conducting studies using a variety of User Research techniques, including heuristic analyses, interviewing, surveys, usability testing, A/B testing.
  • Experience employing and analyzing web analytics. 
  • An understanding of information architecture (IAs) and experience evaluating IAs using research techniques, such as card sorts and tree testing. 
  • Experience creating user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts to communicate user insights and design recommendations. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical abilities. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 

Desired Skills

  • Doctorate Degree.
  • Understanding of user interface best practices. 
  • User Research, Service Design, UX, Human Factors, Design Thinking, Human Centered Design, or similar certification, such as NN/g, CUA, or HCI. 
  • Experience supporting federal projects and/or healthcare projects. 
  • Understanding of USWDS and 508 compliance. 

Location is 100% remote.
