Automotive Accounting Bookkeeper

If you do not have automotive dealership accounting experience of a min of 1 yr. please do not apply.

This list may not be inclusive of all duties, but gives a good idea of what will be expected for the position. This position is for our Winter Park location.  ---  No calls and no in person visits to apply for this position.  Apply through ZipRecruiter please.

Pay is based on experience.

Daily:

Deposit (write up, post in computer & send to the bank) - as needed

Post deals

Cut trade in payoff checks

Post Accounts Payable invoices

Post New Inventory Factory invoices

Post ACH’s - as needed

Post Internal RO's

As needed:

Cut tag refund checks

Cut checks (Dealer Trades, phone, electric, COD’s, used car purchases, etc.)

Post the dealer reserve payments (ACH’s, checks, etc.) and reconcile, have F&I research any unpaid reserves.

Clean schedules (WIP, We Owe, sublet, etc.) – on a weekly basis.

Pull contracts from new deals and submit to banks - When the title clerk is out of the office.

Monthly:

Cut A/P checks on 10th

Submit warranties, gap, tire & wheel policies, etc. from prior month car deals

Balance Volvo parts statement (includes posting the incentive monies paid to us, etc)

Reconcile the physical inventory that sales will have done (reconcile books to their physical count sheet(s)

Reconcile the floorplan inventory with bank to what is on our books in floorplan acct.

Little bit of background about our company:

We are a privately owned small group of dealerships in business for 50+ yrs, 4 franchises (BMW, Honda, VW & Volvo), we have long tenure in our accounting office.  A few perks worth mentioning: The owner buys our lunch everyday!  We leave 1/2 day on 1 Friday a month.
