Job Description

We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and eager Pastry Cook in Miami, FL (10min drive from MIA Airport).

Responsibilities:

  • Bake and prepare pastry items according to specification/recipe. Monitor wastage and complete assigned tasks on multiple station within the given time in order to meet strict deadlines.
  • Keep immediate work area clean at all times and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook. Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team.
  • Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
  • Store ingredients and food items according to food safety standards and follow the guidance of the executive or pastry chef.
  • Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation.
  • Support in staff training and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proactive and self-organization
  • Ability to manage through a substantial workload.
  • Capability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks within the given time in order to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to accurately monitor wastage.
  • Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays)
  • Minimum of 2 year of experience in Pastry/ Bakery preferably with large production volume
  • Knowledge of baking ingredients, measuring techniques, mixing methods, kitchen equipment, and baking times.
