Essential Functions:

The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. Onboarding/Offboarding

  • Fully manage new hire onboardings including, welcome phone calls and emails to new employees, coordinating, tracking, and collecting all paperwork, verifying I-9 documentation, and assisting employees as needed through the process.
  • Gathering, process and filing all paperwork related to new hires, including contracts and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Welcoming new hires with prepared onboarding kits and an office tour
  • Monitor new hire turnover and retention rates – updating and maintaining internal tracking workbooks.
  • Assist in the development of an orientation program.
  • Ensure appropriate trainings are assigned to new hires.
  • Coordinate with local office leadership and communicate with new hires before their start date to provide necessary information to ensure a successful first day.
  • Gather candidate experience feedback from new hires.
  • Assist existing employees when they move to a new department, position, or location.
  • Process employee terminations in HRIS system
  • Conducting exit interviews and completing all necessary paperwork, documentation for exiting employees.

Benefits

  • Ensures the accuracy of data in the HRIS to provide vendors/carriers with accurate eligibility information.
  • Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
  • Enrolls employees with carriers and process life status changes.
  • Assists with the open enrollment process.

Employee Engagement

  • Schedule, coordinate and communicate training sessions.
  • Prepare and draft employee communications for review by HR leadership.
  • Assist in the development of an internal communication calendar.
  • Assist in the development of a formal wellness program.
  • Assist in the development of formal DEI initiative.
  • Assist in the development of employee engagement survey strategy.
  • Assist with the performance management process to include new hire initial performance period and annual review process.

Compliance

Assist the Human Resources Team with development, communication, training and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures. Provide support with the administration of the following:

  • COBRA
  • Unemployment
  • FMLA and all other leave types
  • Immigration
  • OFCCP
  • EEO
  • ADA
  • Other duties as necessary.

Requirements:

Minimum Required Qualifications*

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Three (3) or more years previous experience in a human resource related role
  • Two (2) or more years benefits experience

*Or equivalent combination of education and experience above

Technology skills

  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically in MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Proficient in use online conference tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, GoToMeeting, WebEx or Others
  • Ability to rapidly learn new HRIS platform.

Technical Skills

  • Previous experience processing New Hire Paperwork (I-9, Tax Forms, etc.)
  • Previous experience managing/tracking FMLA, PTO, Sick Time, etc.
  • Previous experience managing/tracking Insurance Benefits, Retirement Plans, etc.
