I. POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional Program Director of College Links is responsible for leading and overseeing the development and implementation of all program functions for existing and new program sites within a specified region. The Regional Program Director develops a world-class program strategy and plan for College Links, in collaboration with the Head of College Links, and the work it undertakes to prepare high school students for successful college and career experiences. This role has overall management, budgetary and operational responsibility for all College Links programs in Regional Areas.

II. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Strategy, Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, oversee, and execute the development and implementation of a strategic plan for College Links that enhances and exemplifies the INROADS vision to develop and place talented underserved youth in business and industry, and prepare them for corporate and community leadership.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sustainable programs in the areas of college preparation and career readiness. A specific emphasis on the College Links focus areas (Impression Management; Academic Success; College Bound Readiness; Career Awareness/Exploration; Communication; Leadership Development; Valuing Diversity; Service Learning; and Financial Literacy) is required.
  • Develop and/or facilitate development of compelling programmatic content to design best in class sessions and experiences for scholars.
  • Collaborate with INROADS staff, board members, alumni and sponsors to ensure full participation, timely cooperation, and information sharing.
  • Serve as point of contact to partners and sponsors for special College Links program initiatives
  • Develop a regional and sometimes national support network through regular contact with elected representatives, government officials, corporate and nonprofit leaders, trade and business associations, and those with similar interests to strengthen College Links’ reach and program effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partners to help further the mission of College Links.

Regional Field Operations:

  • Coordinate the work of College Links staff at each site in the execution of their program management duties. Ensure that all staff understand and meet established deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with the senior management team and regional staff to launch additional College Links sites.
  • Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by program sites and work with the senior leadership team and staff to recognize internal and external programmatic opportunities and solutions, and develop and execute strategies to support them.
  • Travel to College Links markets as required
  • Develop and oversee a Regional budget
  • Ensure consultant(s) are managed in accordance with INROADS policies
Requirements:

Marketing and Communications:

  • In collaboration with Communications and Marketing staff, develop and implement an integrated communications plan to advance and broaden awareness of College Links, increasing the visibility of the program across key stakeholder audiences.
  • Serve as a principal point person and spokesperson on behalf of INROADS to promote programmatic efforts and overall strategic priorities of College Links.
  • Identify opportunities and develop communication materials to promote and publicize College Links and its impact.
  • Manage and update content on the College Links website.
  • Distribute program updates and scholar news through national College Links email communications and through INROADS Alumni newsletter and eblasts.
  • Ensure consistency across all program sites with the College Links brand.

Program Monitoring and Evaluation, Tracking and Report:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a monitoring and evaluation process for each program site which assesses areas to improve current and future management of outputs, outcomes and impact; and key outcomes are evaluated for maximum community and organizational impact.
  • Lead the development and implementation of tracking and reporting systems for each program site to ensure INROADS has the best understanding of the population it serves and how to best serve them. Use these systems to provide program data which can be provided to current and potential donors, stakeholders and the media regarding reach and impact of programs.
  • Demonstrate quality of administration, communications and systems, and recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve program goals.
