We are searching for an energetic, driven sales intern with a hunger to learn and contribute to our incredible sales team. The sales intern will complete all tasks assigned by the manager, which include but aren’t limited too, conducting market research, identifying business opportunities, managing email campaigns, generating sales leads, making cold calls, participating in meetings, and assisting the overall sales effort for their branch wherever possible. 

Outstanding sales interns are problem solvers who know the value of building lasting, professional relationships with clients and teammates.  The successful sales intern must be willing to embrace the culture and values of BECI, learning as much about the company as possible.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Display a drive and willingness to learn, putting training and experience to work for the good of the team.
  • Working closely with the manager or assigned staff member and completing all allocated tasks.
  • Conducting market research, gathering information, generating leads, and communicating with prospects as directed.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings, workshops, events, and exhibitions.
  • Liaising with current clients, vendors, and suppliers on behalf of manager.
  • Updating documents and sales records.
  • Reviewing sales performance against sales targets.
  • Identifying potential weaknesses and offer insight for potential improvements.
  • Assisting managers with negotiations.
  • Meet 1 on 1 with manager, no less than once a week, for feedback and to discuss areas of success and areas for improvement.
  • In the process of attaining a degree in marketing, business, or similar from a 4-year accredited institution, or equivalent experience.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and dependable means of transportation.

 

REQUIRMENTS:

  •  Strong self-motivation.
  • Ability to contribute as part of a team or work independently as needed.
  • Ability to remain calm and resilient in fast-paced environments, and in the face of rejection.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A professional attitude, demeanor, and appearance.
  • Although you may be hired and assigned to report to a specific location, many of our internal user and external clients are countrywide, so you must be willing and able to work out of town. This includes, but is not limited to, periods of staying out of town, travel on commercial airlines, traveling in rented vehicles, and staying in company provided lodging.
  • Agreeable and willing to work in an office environment, as well as, on sites as necessary to perform job responsibilities. While this position is intended to be primarily office based, the percentage of time working in the office and on sites can/will vary.
  • Ability to lift over 40 pounds, without assistance.
  • Authorized, with a current license from the DMV in the state you reside, to operate a motor vehicle, that may be company provided, rented, or personally owned.
  • Go above and beyond, when necessary. You are hired with the expectations of the work week being Monday-Friday with hours of 7:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday – Thursday and 7:30 am – 11:30 am Friday; however, business needs/project assignments may dictate longer days. In this regard, we ask that you complete the task at hand in its entirety even if the hours exceed normal business hours.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • MILEAGE: BE-CI will reimburse mileage driven in one’s personal vehicle for company purposes. Rate: Current federal mileage rate of $0.67/mile.
  • START: Approximately 2 weeks after the conclusion of your school semester. Please indicate your preferred start date.
  • END: Approximately 2 weeks before returning to school.
