Administrative Assistant

Typical Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to ship design team members and staff.
- Update administrative policy documents, maintain records.
- Update and organize communications methods and meetings between teams and leadership.
- Communicate effectively in person and on telephone.
- Ensure ordering of office supplies and maintain inventory.
- Assist with onboarding of new personnel and visitors.
- Provide assistance to Program Offices.
Typical Physical Requirements: Primarily desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion.
US Citizenship Required: Due to the requirements of the federal contract that this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required. Citizenship will be confirmed via I-9/E-Verify at the start of employment.
Secret Security Clearance Eligibility Required: This position requires eligibility for a DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate will either already posses an active or interim Secret clearance (preferred), or be eligible to obtain a new Secret clearance upon hire.
Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field.
- At least two (2) years of recent, relevant experience providing administrative support functions.
- An ideal candidate will have experience supporting a program office in a marine/defense environment.
- Documented experience working with web-based collaboration tools (SharePoint).
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Visio, Project, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills, ability to effectively facilitate meetings.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse range of contacts.
