Continuous Improvement Intern

Job Summary
Participate as needed on projects for the Asheboro Operational Excellence Department. Lead efforts in a continuous improvement project & present project summary to the Leadership team. Assist with Manufacturing Engineering in areas of quality, data analysis, data integrity, and standard work.

Knowledge | Experience | Skills
High school diploma or GED. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Moderate computer experience in Microsoft Office Suite. Good problem-solving skills and uses an analytical mindset.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist in and gather data on production floor activities.
• Assist in the analytics of manufacturing data.
• Develop work instructions & standard work documents for machine operators.
• Report any unsafe situations to Supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Must be able to manage time efficiently, follow work instructions & work well in a team environment.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Ability to use tools and/or operate equipment
• Work with plant teams to consolidate downtime codes.
• Assist in determining path to replace downtime tracking sheets.
• Assist in data integrity efforts.
