Location: Hayward, CA

POSITION SUMMARY:

At Mygrant Glass, HR is focused on understanding what people need and knowing how to provide it. The Human Resources Information Systems Manager will support our HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. This role will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, providing leadership and oversight for the HRIS system that supports our multi-state organization. This individual must provide hands-on execution, liaise between internal teams, external partners, our employees, third-party vendors, and develop team members to optimize operational excellence.

The HRIS Manager will oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our Human Resources Information System (HRIS). The HRIS Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the effective utilization of HR technology to streamline processes, enhance data accuracy, and support strategic decision-making within the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Lead the implementation of new HRIS systems or modules, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and user requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to customize and integrate HRIS solutions with existing systems and applications.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the HRIS platform, managing user access, permissions, and security settings.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity, compliance with regulatory requirements, and adherence to best practices.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of HR data to support strategic decision-making and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Develop and maintain standardized reports and dashboards to provide insights into key HR metrics, trends, and patterns.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and workflows through automation and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient solutions that improve productivity and enhance the employee experience.
  • Provide training and support to HR staff and end-users on the use of HRIS tools, features, and functionality.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and knowledge resources to facilitate self-service and ongoing learning.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to HR data management and privacy.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal data governance policies through effective controls and safeguards.
  • Oversees Onboarding employees into the HRIS and Time and Attendance systems and ensures onboarding forms are compliant with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Oversees data/system processing of promotions, transfers and terminations.
  • Assists migration to a unified HRIS if required.
  • Responsible for hiring, developing and training HRIS team members.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Advanced knowledge in general payroll and tax rules, regulations and processes.
  • Working knowledge of Federal and State payroll policies, including FLSA laws, overtime and termination regulations for multi-state jurisdictions.
  • In-depth knowledge of HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM) and related technologies.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving and execution skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skill related to interacting with users and professionally resolving issues.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively resolve issues with HR, employees, Legal, etc. while sustaining a high level of confidentiality inherent to Payroll and HR matters.
  • Proven ability to work in an organized manner with the ability to manage time effectively to meet strict deadlines, at times handling multiple tasks concurrently while maintaining proper prioritization.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources OR a combination of successful equivalent related experience
  • Extensive knowledge of the HRIS and payroll function.
  • 4+ years of experience as a HRIS, Payroll Manager or equivalent
  • Proficient with ADP HRIS software.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels; exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects; ability to remain in a stationary position and/or upright, for prolonged periods of time; traverse stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch occasionally during an 8-10-hour work shift.
