Quality Inspector II 

• Performs routine and repetitive visual inspections of suspect components and products to ensure only conforming material is released to production.
• Utilizes standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gages, and other testing equipment.  This may include, but is not limited to calipers, micrometers, drop gages, and go/no go gages.
• Performs component and product reworks.
• Processes associated documentation and nonconforming material documents with a high level of accuracy.
• Ensures all sort and rework hours are logged and tracked in the ERP system
• Move materials, components, and finished goods in trays, boxes, or on pallets around the facility.
• Follows policies and procedures according to company's Quality Management System
•  Communicate effectively with management, operators, process technicians, and other inspectors about quality-related concerns required.
• Using blueprint reading, timely completes and releases basic inspections using hand tools; basic inspections using optical measuring equipment (SmartScope) for incoming receiving components, receiving inspection (PPPA) components, and special inspections
• Assist with the Material Review Board (MRB) process for nonconforming part disposition by providing objective evidence to support rejection data

Education and/or Experience:

• Blueprint Reading experience
• Manufacturing experience
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products with a strong working knowledge of Excel

Related quality assurance experience preferred

• Optical measuring equipment (SmartScope) preferred
• Metrology experience (calipers, gages) preferred
