Summary:

TheDirector of Clinical Services and Education is a member of theCorvallis Clinic leadership team and willprovide overall administrative direction and coordination for clinicalpolicies, procedures, and protocols at The Corvallis Clinic. The Director will be responsible for theanalysis, planning and implementation of clinical programs to strengthen the corecompetencies of clinical employees. The Director of Clinical Services and Education is responsible for the overallsupervision, evaluation, monitoring, and provision of the TCC clinical servicesteam, including the clinical training and development, medication/vaccinemanagement and pharmaceutical services.

Responsibilities:

1. Will participate and maintain a culturewithin The Corvallis Clinic consistent with the content outlined in the Serviceand Behavioral Standards Handbook. To this end, employee will be expected toread, have familiarity, and embrace the principles contained within.

2. Responsible for oversight of clinicalservices and clinical services team at TCC. This includes direct oversight ofclinical training and education, clinical policy and procedures, and pharmaceuticalservices including immunization programs, medication/vaccine procurement andinventory management.

3. Ensures compliance with organizationalpolicies, state and federal regulations and industry standards, including OSBN,OHA by maintaining, developing, planning, and implementing policies and procedures . Develops clinicalworkflows and protocols in response to changing requirements.

4. Collaborates with other members of the TCCleadership team to facilitate inter-disciplinary teams in the achievement ofthe organization's strategic goals.

5. Oversees development, implementation andevaluation of clinical staff orientation, support, training, and competencydevelopment. Provides direct management and oversight to clinical trainingteam.

6. Collaborates with VP of Operations, CMO,HR and clinic leadership to develop strategic plans regarding clinical staffrecruitment, hiring, retention.

7. Collaborates with HR to ensure new andonboarding clinical support staff meet license and certification expectationsof the Corvallis Clinic and regulatory and state agencies as indicated.

8. Facilitate process improvement initiativesthat enhance patient experience and safety. Provides clinical leadership andresponse to patient safety issues including monitoring risk managementincidents, medication errors and other patient safety issues.

9. Collaborates with clinic leadership anddirector of quality improvement to ensure clinical workflows are aligned tosupport patient experience and quality outcomes of care.

10. Identify appropriateinternal controls for department and provide mechanisms to monitor and enforcecompliance. Oversee programs meant to assess clinicalcompetence and compliance with established policies and procedures.

11. Actively participates and engages in TCCcommittees to include safety committee, electronic health record committee,quality improvement committee and other workgroups and committees as assigned.

a. Provides leadershipto assist with any public health emergency that affects TCC and the cliniccommunity.

b. Provides clinicalstaff with communication re: applicable health alerts and advisories.

12. Ensures thecommunication of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures up and down thechain of leadership through meetings, huddles, and other forms ofcommunication.

13. Develop departmentalannual budget for staffing,supplies and capital expenses and manageexpenditures in a cost-effective manner .

14. Directs the onboarding of students in theclinical setting and ensures each student and school meet requirements set bythe organization, state, and industry standards.

15. Provides oversight and leadership supportto TCC clinical lead program, including facilitating regular group and 1:1meeting with clinical leads.

16. Directly supervises clinical resource RN,clinical trainers, pharmaceutical coordinator, vaccination CMA, and medicationrefill/PA team.

Education, licensure, and experience:

1. Currentunencumbered licensure in Oregon as a RN

2. Bachelor's Degree inNursing from an accredited program; OR a combination of an associate degree innursing and a bachelor's degree in a science or health care related field

3. Master's Degree inhealthcare field preferred

4. Minimum two years'experience working in a supervisory role

5. Minimumt hree years' experience in direct delivery of patientcare

6. Experience in amultispecialty, outpatient, ambulatory care setting preferred

7. Proficiency with EHR

Knowledge and skills:

1. Proficient in MSOffice and computer systems.

2. Abilityto work compatibly with physicians/providers and staff.

3. Excellentcommunication skills- effectively interactwith people and develop positive relationships while being tactful, respectful,and direct in communication.

4. Organizational and leadershipskills working with inter-disciplinary teams.

5. Working knowledge ofstate health authorities, including Oregon Health Authority and Oregon StateBoard of Nursing.

6. Effective problemsolving and ability to analyze and use data for decision making. Excellent analytical, training and presentationskills.

7. Ability to manage,build, and maintain successful teams.
